Nyoro gives Ruto 14 days to disclose Dangote refinery deal

Description (show more)

People’s Party of Kenya leader Ndindi Nyoro has given President William Ruto a 14-day ultimatum to publicly disclose the shareholding structure of the Dangote East Africa refinery. Speaking during a tour of Laare in Meru County, Nyoro also demanded the release of the agreement between the Kenyan government and the Dangote Group on the proposed construction of the refinery in Lamu. As Kamau Mwangi reports, Nyoro’s ultimatum came as Jubilee Party Deputy Leader Fred Matiang’i challenged the government to arrest those alleged to have scared away Dangote when the group sought to establish a cement factory in the country.
