Residents fault government over delayed Rironi–Mau Summit road launch
Description (show more)
The government is facing backlash from residents and road users along the Rironi–Mau Summit highway over what they describe as an unfulfilled promise to complete and launch the road by November 1. In a video shared by Dennis Itumbi, Head of Presidential Special Projects and Creative Economy, and widely circulated on social media, Transport Cabinet Secretary Davis Chirchir promised that a section of the road from Rironi to Naivasha would be launched by November 1. However, with less than 48 hours to the projected date, the road remains unfinished.
