Description (show more)

Konichiwa Fam! On E069 I am joined by Salim Amin, the Chairman of Camerapix, founder of both The Mohamed Amin Foundation and A24 Media, and an award-winning filmmaker. He produced and presented the acclaimed documentary MO & ME, which won 15 international awards, and later created The Sound Man. A Fellow of the African Leadership Initiative and part of the Aspen Global Leadership Network, he was invited by President Obama to the 2010 Entrepreneurship Summit and has been listed among the “100 Most Influential Africans.” In 2014 he launched The Scoop, a talk show reaching over 200 million viewers, and in 2018 published KENYA: Through My Father’s Eyes, a groundbreaking augmented-reality photo book. On this episode we catch up on: - The Mo Amin foundation and the legacy his father left - Russians in Zanzibar during the Cold War - Idi Amin and Mo Amin's relationship - The realities journalists faced in Rwanda and much much more. We had a good time recording this one, hope you enjoy the episode!
