University of Nairobi students issue 72-hour ultimatum over lecturers’ strike

University of Nairobi students want the lecturers’ strike resolved in the next 72 hours, failure to which they will take to the streets in protest. The association’s leadership says the government has failed to address the deteriorating situation in public universities, which has paralysed learning. At the same time, students in some public universities continue to decry the effects of the lecturers’ strike on their academic and social lives.
