Business council pushes for investment-led East African integration

The East Africa Business Council is calling on its members to shift the region’s integration agenda from policy discussions to investment, production and job creation. Speaking in Nairobi during the Regional CEO and Investment Forum, the council said there is a need to transform East Africa’s eight markets into a single investment destination. The council says turning regional integration into a business opportunity will help translate the bloc’s economic potential into better outcomes for businesses and citizens.
