LSK calls for livestreaming of polling station results, Cabinet reconstitution

The Law Society of Kenya is asking Parliament to expressly protect the livestreaming of polling station results through a publicly accessible platform during elections. LSK President Charles Kanjama says the IEBC must also explain how it intends to enable the public, candidates, journalists and observers to follow and scrutinise election results. The lawyers’ body is also calling for the reconstitution of Cabinet following a High Court ruling that declared it unconstitutional over failure to comply with the two-thirds gender principle.
