Ruto warns critics of Dangote refinery project

President William Ruto on Saturday wound up his week-long tour of the Coast with a fresh warning to critics of the Dangote Oil Refinery in Lamu. Ruto described the project’s opponents as 'brokers', accusing them of using residents to frustrate the multi-billion-shilling refinery while pursuing their own interests. The President also assured Lamu residents they would be fully involved in decisions concerning the project. And as Chrispine Otieno reports, other Kenya Kwanza leaders joined the criticism, accusing the opposition of turning the mega project into a political issue.
