Ruto allies challenge opposition ahead of 2027 election

President William Ruto’s broad-based government allies have challenged the opposition to brace for a bruising 2027 election contest, expressing confidence in the President’s re-election bid. Touring Busia, Kakamega and Nyamira counties, Energy Cabinet Secretary Opiyo Wandayi and Cooperatives Cabinet Secretary Wycliffe Oparanya urged Kenyans to back the government’s development agenda and its promise of equitable resource distribution.
