Kindiki defends Ruto’s development record as 2027 political contest takes shape
Description (show more)
Deputy President Professor Kithure Kindiki has defended the Kenya Kwanza administration’s development track record, saying the government is on track to fulfil the manifesto made during the 2022 campaign. Kindiki, who is on a tour of the Mount Kenya region, visited Kirinyaga County, where he said the 2027 political contest will be shaped by the development agenda, accusing the opposition of preaching divisive politics. And as Francis Mtalaki reports, a section of broad-based leaders led by Mining CS Ali Hassan Joho were in Nakuru County drumming up support for President William Ruto.
