Description (show more)
The European Union is exploring partnership with the Kenya Broadcasting Corporation to strengthen the operations of the state broadcaster. Among areas of cooperation include digitization of KBC's archives, technical support and capacity building for journalists. European Ambassador to Kenya Andreas Peschke says the collaboration also seeks to enhance the coverage of next year’s general elections through strengthening the broadcaster’s capacity to continue providing accurate and credible information to voters, while addressing emerging challenges including misinformation and disinformation. Ambassador Peschke spoke during his courtesy visit to KBC’s Managing Director Agnes Kalekye.
