Deputy President Kithure Kindiki has defended the Usawa ni Sawa slogan, saying it champions equitable development across the country. Speaking during a development tour of Bahati and Njoro sub-counties in Nakuru, the second in command accused opposition leaders of resisting the agenda and resorting to ethnic mobilisation as the 2027 general election draws closer. Kindiki said there is no turning back in the drive to make Kenya an equal country where every Kenyan benefits from development and other economic opportunities without any form of discrimination. He further defended the government's affordable housing programme, describing it as a key source of employment for thousands of young people across the country.
