Ruto warns uncontrolled borrowing threatens children’s rights

President William Ruto has warned against uncontrolled borrowing, saying it affects a country’s ability to deliver critical services to its population. Speaking during the UNICEF High-Level Dialogue on Debt on the sidelines of the United Nations General Assembly, President Ruto told other heads of state that a country that is going big on borrowing is infringing on the rights of its children.
