Ruto defends Kenya’s G-to-G fuel importation model
Description (show more)
President William Ruto has defended Kenya’s government-to-government fuel importation model amid controversial remarks by Uganda’s President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni. Speaking in New York City while addressing Kenyans living in the diaspora, President Ruto said the system has enabled Kenya to secure petroleum products at a more competitive cost than neighbouring countries. The Head of State further maintained that Kenya’s model is superior to the system currently being used by Uganda, challenging critics to compare the landed cost of petrol delivered to the two countries.
