Description (show more)
Opposition leaders have accused President William Ruto’s government of using a special police unit to hunt down and torture Kenyans who oppose it, amid a new wave of alleged abductions. Speaking at separate events in Busia and Nakuru counties, the leaders made the allegations, with Kiharu MP Ndindi Nyoro challenging the president to reveal who will own shares in the planned Lamu oil refinery. In the United States, DCP leader Rigathi Gachagua warned illicit alcohol dealers that they would be shut down by an opposition government.
