Five clerks from the Kenya Tea Development Authority and private tea factories have been arrested in Bureti Sub-County, Kericho County over claims of falsification of weighing scales. The officers were arrested during an impromptu visit to tea buying centres and factories by a Bureti Sub-County Multi-Agency team led by Deputy County Commissioner Sabina Mule, Tea Board of Kenya Compliance Director Samuel Njane and officers from the Department of Weights and Measures.
