Ruto extends 8% VAT on fuel for 90 days after price hike

President William Ruto has signed into law amendments extending the reduction of Value Added Tax (VAT) on petroleum products from 16 per cent to 8 per cent for another 90 days, in a move aimed at cushioning consumers against high fuel prices, just two days after Kenyans saw a hike in fuel prices.
