She designed a baby crib as she prepared to become a mother. She had no idea she was creating the first chapter of a much bigger business. That crib became Wood Habitat. But building the company was anything but smooth. Eight out of ten pieces were once coming back, partnerships fell apart, money was lost and debt piled up. Paradis Nishimwe had to learn that making beautiful furniture was only half the job. Building the business behind it was another story. Today, wood habitat serves high end clients across Rwanda and beyond.
