YY Defends Ruto’s South B Market Project as Malcolm Machaji Reports Truck Break-In in the US

Description (show more)

Comedian YY has visited the South B Modern Market in Nairobi, which is still under construction, in response to claims that President William Ruto’s development projects do not exist. The South B market project was launched as a Sh332 million, three-storey facility intended to provide a safer and more organised trading space for local traders. According to an earlier report by The Eastleigh Voice, the completed market is expected to accommodate more than 1,500 traders and include digital hubs, lactation rooms, meeting spaces, floodlights and other modern amenities. YY’s visit has triggered debate online, with supporters pointing to the construction site as evidence that the project is moving forward, while critics continue to question the government’s project delivery, timelines, transparency and public spending. The episode also looks at a separate incident involving Malcolm Machaji na Manyonyois. According to a report shared by Nairobi Express, Malcolm said that thieves broke into his truck while he was in Memphis, Tennessee, and stole cargo believed to be connected to an Amazon delivery. The incident reportedly disrupted his delivery work and has sparked discussion about cargo theft, driver safety and security in the United States.
