A Bomet University student drowns in a dam while fetching water

Hundreds of Bomet University students took to the streets of  Bomet town protesting the shortage of clean water, leaked sewerage and the death of a student who drowned in a dam while fetching water. The irate students engaged anti-riot police officers in running battles, disrupting normalcy in the town. The students have placed the blame squarely on the county management for failing to address their concerns.
