Kenya Morans beat Madagascar to clinch Africa Men’s Sevens title

Kenya Morans staged a remarkable comeback to beat Madagascar 15-12 in a thrilling final in Mauritius, claiming the Africa Men’s Sevens title. Madagascar struck first inside two minutes, crossing for the opening try. Kenya responded through Ambale, who scored the Morans’ first try before adding the conversion to put Kenya ahead. Kenya extended their lead after the break through Gabriel Ayimba, but Madagascar hit back after capitalising on a lapse in the Kenyan defence to cut the deficit. With the title in the balance, Madagascar then conceded an infringement, giving Kenya the chance to seal victory from the kicking tee. Nganya kept his cool, calmly slotting the kick between the posts to hand Kenya a 15-12 win and the Africa Men’s Sevens crown.
