United Opposition welcomes court ruling on Safaricom stake sale

OVER 121,000 Youth have been incarcerated in correctional facilities across the country between 2022 and 2026. Appearing before the Senate Plenary, Interior Cabinet Secretary Kipchumba Murkomen said 11,824 of those youth were imprisoned over offences linked to criminal gangs, violent extremism, political goonism and related activities.Of these, 1,189 were specifically incarcerated for offences linked to political goonism comprising of 1,053 males and 136 females.Murkomen says the figures underscore the scale of youth involvement in various forms of crime and political violence during the period under review.
