Veronica Waithira Kamau was born in Trans Nzoia County. After her parents separated, she stayed with her father. Later, he enrolled her in school in Lodwar. Her father, however, struggled with alcoholism and could no longer care for her, so she went to live with her mother. Veronica was heartbroken to leave her father behind, as she loved him deeply. She dropped out of school in Form 3. Her mother, determined to separate her from a man she was in love with, took her to the area chief, where she was beaten. Veronica had no idea that the man she trusted was a womanizer. One day, a neighbor informed her that there was another woman in her house. To her shock, it turned out to be her friend. Heartbroken, Veronica returned home, but her mother chased her away. Eventually, a man advised her to start hustling to support her child. She began selling weed, but it didn’t go well. She was arrested, and her mother couldn’t afford to bail her out. Fortunately, one of the police officers took pity on her, and she wasn’t jailed. Later, she was promised a good job, but it turned out to be work in a club. She was given costumes and high heels, which was a struggle for her as she had never done such work before. Today on Tales by Titus 254, we hear Veronica’s story about her experiences working in the club and how she ultimately decided to leave that life behind.
