I Was Being Used by the Person I Loved
Description (show more)
Sylvia’s childhood was marked by absence and vulnerability. Her father passed away when she was still very young, leaving her mother to raise her alone. But instead of finding comfort in her mother’s care, Sylvia was exposed to unsettling experiences. Her mother had a boyfriend who frequently visited their home. At first, his compliments seemed harmless, but Sylvia soon realized his attention was inappropriate. One day, she caught him sniffing her clothes when her mother was away. Shocked and disturbed, she knew she could no longer remain in that environment. Seeking safety, Sylvia moved out and turned to a man she considered a friend, hoping he would provide the rescue she desperately needed. Tragically, this trust was betrayed. In the name of “making him happy,” he coerced her into acts that left her broken and ashamed. What she thought would be a refuge became another source of pain. As Sylvia tried to rebuild her life, the weight of these experiences began to affect her stability. She lost her job, a crucial lifeline that had given her hope for independence. At the same time, she faced the devastating loss of her child, compounding her grief and leaving her feeling stripped of everything she had fought to hold onto. Her journey became one of survival against betrayal, exploitation, and unimaginable loss.
