Jocham Hospital is seeking to hire a competent ICT Officer who will play a critical role in managing the hospital’s information and communication technology systems. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the efficiency and security of the hospital’s IT infrastructure, supporting healthcare staff in utilizing technology to improve patient care, and facilitating smooth communication across various departments.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain hospital ICT infrastructure, including computers, servers, networks, and software
- Provide technical support and troubleshooting for staff
- Ensure data security, system backups, and proper access controls
- Install, configure, and update hardware and software systems
- Support hospital management systems and electronic medical records
- Monitor system performance and recommend improvements
- Maintain ICT documentation, inventories, and user guides
- Ensure compliance with ICT policies and best practice
Minimum Qualifications and Experience
- Diploma or degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Information System or a related discipline from a recognized institution.
- Minimum 2 years’ hands-on experience with computer networks, network administration and network installation
- Programming experience in Java, C++, PHP, PL/SQL, Crystal reports. CompTIA A+, Microsoft Certified IT Professional) is a plus
- Proven working experience as an IT Officer. Work experience in a hospital set up is an added advantage.
- Experience with databases, networks (LAN, WAN) and patch management
- Knowledge of system security (e.g. intrusion detection systems) and data backup/recovery
- Knowledge of graphic designs and show level of creativity in coming up with new policies and ideas
