NAIROBI, Kenya, Sept 21 – Electric vehicle maker Agilitee and e-commerce and delivery platform Store2Door have entered a 10-year partnership to expand electric last-mile delivery services across Africa.
The partnership will see Agilitee supply electric scooters and four-wheelers to Store2Door as the platform expands its delivery network.
The first 200 electric scooters are expected to be deployed on October 28, 2026.
The initial rollout will use Agilitee’s LoadRun and LoadStar scooters, which the company says can travel up to 180 kilometres on a single charge.
Agilitee said entrepreneurs will be able to acquire fleets through 100 per cent financing with no deposit, with repayments linked to earnings from the delivery business.
Owethu Ngxanzana, General Manager, Special Projects at Agilitee Africa, said the model was intended to lower the cost of entering the delivery business.
“We are giving 100 per cent financing because we know how hard things are for our people. This alone makes the entry for public participation easy,” she said.
Under the model, an entrepreneur identifies a local store that needs delivery services. Store2Door then onboards the business onto its e-commerce platform, while Agilitee provides the electric scooters on credit.
The entrepreneur can operate the deliveries or hire drivers. The two companies will provide training on the scooters, battery-swapping equipment, ordering platform and delivery system.
Existing businesses will also be able to open stores on the Store2Door platform, with the company handling sales and deliveries.
The companies said the rollout will include joint activations and training as they expand the model across Africa.
