The Ministry of Lands, Public Works, Housing, and Urban Development has announced a system downtime affecting the Ardhi Sasa portal, resulting in limited access to services.

In a notice dated April 28, the State Department for Lands and Physical Planning said the disruption had affected access to the digital platform, which supports land-related transactions and services.

The ministry said technical teams were working to restore normal operations as quickly as possible and apologized to users for the inconvenience caused.

“Dear Users, we are currently experiencing a system downtime, which may result in limited access to the platform. We apologize for the inconvenience and appreciate your understanding,” read part of the statement.

Ardhi Sasa Services Likely to Be Affected

Ardhi Sasa is a digital platform that enables citizens and other stakeholders to access land information and apply for government land services online.

Developed by the Ministry of Lands and the National Land Commission, the platform provides centralized online services for accessing land records, submitting applications, and processing transactions.

Some of the services offered include:

  • Allowing users to register land online, ensuring ownership is officially recorded by the government.
  • Facilitating the issuance of title deeds and streamlining the process of obtaining legal proof of land ownership.
  • Conducting land searches to verify ownership details and other information about specific parcels of land, a service widely used by buyers and real estate professionals.
  • Surveying services that enable users to request and track surveys, which help in resolving boundary disputes and supporting land development.
  • It also allows online payment of land rent, helping users stay compliant with government requirements while providing receipts and transaction records.

To access services and conduct transactions on Ardhi Sasa, users must create either an individual or a corporate account.

How to Access Portal

To access the portal, follow these simple steps:

  • Visit the platform’s website and click on “Sign Up,” then provide personal details such as a national ID for individuals or a business registration certificate for companies before verification and login.
  • After logging in, users can navigate the dashboard to access available services, including the “Land Administration” section.
  • To pay land rent, users enter their title deed number, select a preferred payment method, and complete the transaction through the system.
  • Once payment is confirmed, users can download or print a land rent clearance certificate directly from the platform.
