Nairobi City Water and Sewerage Company Ltd said the interruption follows an emergency shutdown of the NCT-Kigoro-Gigiri-Kabete pipeline by the Athi Water Works Development Agency (AWWDA) to allow repair works.

Nairobi Water has announced a three-day supply interruption affecting several estates and institutions across the city from 11:59 pm on Monday, October 26, to 11:59 pm on Thursday, October 29, 2026.

In a notice, Nairobi City Water and Sewerage Company Ltd said the interruption follows an emergency shutdown of the NCT-Kigoro-Gigiri-Kabete pipeline by the Athi Water Works Development Agency (AWWDA) to allow repair works.

“Nairobi City Water and Sewerage Company Ltd wishes to inform its customers of the emergency shutdown of the pipeline above. The shutdown is expected to last approximately 3 days and will interrupt water supply to the following areas,” reads the notice.
