The offer involves the sale of two billion existing ordinary shares by Sokoni Retail Kenya Limited at Sh7.50 per share. The shares represent 50 per cent of Quickmart’s issued share capital and are intended for listing on the NSE’s Main Investment Market Segment.
Quickmart PLC has admitted three new cornerstone investors to its Sh15 billion initial public offering, allocating 48 per cent of the shares to the category as the retailer prepares to list on the Nairobi Securities Exchange on November 12, 2026.
According to a supplementary information memorandum approved by the Capital Markets Authority (CMA) on October 23, the new investors are the United Kingdom’s MOBILIST Programme, RWC Asset Management LLP and 337 Frontier Capital, LP.
The three investors join the International Finance Corporation (IFC), which was already a cornerstone investor in the offer. The changes follow the approval granted by the CMA under the Capital Markets (Public Offers, Listings and Disclosures) Regulations, 2023.
