NAIROBI, Kenya, Sept 23 – The Human Resource Management Professionals’ Examinations Board (HRMPEB) has released results for the first cohort of candidates assessed through the Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) pathway for the Certified Human Resource Professional (CHRP) qualification.
The results were released on September 15, 2026, after 25 candidates completed the first CHRP-RPL assessment under the revised CHRP curriculum.
The cohort comprised 13 women and 12 men. Candidates went through pre-screening, screening, assessment, verification and quality assurance before the results were released.
HRMPEB said the RPL pathway allows experienced professionals to demonstrate competencies gained through workplace experience and is assessed using the same standards applied to conventional examinations.
The assessment tools, developed with RPL practitioners and industry experts, included performance criteria, logbooks and marking schemes.
Human Resource Development recorded the highest mean score at 77.25, followed by Performance Management and Productivity at 75.45 and Employee Resourcing at 74.70.
Accounting and Financial Management recorded a mean score of 61.25, while Human Resource Management recorded a mean score of zero.
HRMPEB worked with the Kenya National Qualifications Authority (KNQA), the Institute of Human Resource Management (IHRM) and the RPL Delivery Unit in implementing the programme.
