Hermosa Paints has partnered with the Kamba Festival as the event’s main sponsor, supporting a cultural platform that will showcase Kamba music, dance, art, fashion, food and other forms of creative expression.

The festival is expected to bring together artists, entrepreneurs, creatives and members of the community to celebrate Kamba heritage and provide a platform for emerging talent.

Hermosa Paints Public Relations Manager Nancy Kang’anya said the partnership reflects the company’s interest in supporting young people and cultural expression.

“Culture gives us identity, while creativity gives young people a voice. At Hermosa Paints, we believe young people should not only inherit culture but also have the opportunity to shape how it evolves,” Kang’anya said.

She said cultural events can provide opportunities for young people working in areas including music, photography, videography, fashion, design, content creation, food and event production.

“When young people have platforms to showcase their skills, build networks and connect with audiences, creativity can become a pathway to opportunity,” she added.

The festival comes amid growing use of digital platforms, contemporary music, fashion and entrepreneurship by younger generations to engage with and reinterpret traditional culture.

Hermosa Paints said its involvement in the festival is also linked to its business in paint and coatings, with the company noting the role of colour and visual expression in creative work.

The partnership will see Hermosa Paints support the festival as it brings together participants to celebrate Kamba identity, culture and talent.
