Security officers in Mbita are investigating the circumstances surrounding the death of a senior police officer following a tragic road accident.
Chief Inspector Maurice Kyalo, the Commanding Officer at Mbita Police Station, died on Sunday night after his vehicle veered off the road and hit a culvert near Nyakayiemba Primary School.
Police said his car was the only vehicle found at the scene, raising questions about what may have caused the accident.
