The County Pension Fund (CPF) has held talks with the management of the newly established Uasin Gishu County Rural Water and Sanitation Company (URWASCO) to explore partnerships aimed at strengthening employee welfare and long-term financial security.

The meeting, held in Eldoret, brought together a CPF team led by Team Lead Samuel Meli and URWASCO management headed by Managing Director Eng. Caroline Ngerechi.

The deliberations centred on potential collaboration to provide retirement benefits, investment options and social security solutions for URWASCO staff across different categories.

“URWASCO’s priorities go beyond ensuring that rural water projects are properly maintained and sustained,” Eng. Ngerechi said. “The welfare of our employees is equally important. We must put in place measures that support their well-being and financial security.”

CPF, a regional financial services provider specialising in retirement benefits and related products, used the engagement to outline ways the two organisations could work together to give staff greater protection beyond their working years.

“As URWASCO begins operations, this is an opportune moment to explore how we can partner to secure the future of its workforce,” Meli said. “Our focus is on delivering appropriate financial solutions that provide long-term security for employees.”

Both parties described the talks as a foundation for future collaboration, with emphasis on sustainable service delivery and the well-being of URWASCO’s workforce as the company settles into its operational phase.
