Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) detectives arrested Sang in Eldoret, Uasin Gishu County, on Saturday after acting on intelligence that led them to the fugitive.

Police have arrested Inspector Kenneth Kipkemboi Sang, who had been on the run in connection with the murders of Nairobi lawyer Mathew  Mbobu and Dr Victoria Mutiso.

“The breakthrough came along Uganda Road in Eldoret’s Central Business District, where detectives intercepted Sang as he drove a silver Toyota Fielder, registration number KCM 508L,” the DCI said in a statement.
