Police in Bungoma have arrested a suspect and recovered 561 rolls of suspected narcotics during an operation in the Mandizini area.

A search of the suspect's premises also led to the recovery of additional suspected narcotics packed in seven polythene bags.

The suspect is being held at Bungoma Police Station pending arraignment, while the recovered substances have been secured as exhibits.

The NPS said it would continue operations against illicit drugs and urged members of the public to share information with security agencies.
