The suspects were arrested in the Kingstone area of Lindi following an intelligence-led operation by detectives investigating the two incidents
Two suspects have been arrested in connection with the killing of a man and a separate stabbing incident in Lindi, Kibra.
The incidents occurred on the morning of October 23, leaving one man dead and another seriously injured after separate attacks as they made their way to work.
In the first incident, 49-year-old Jacob Odhiambo Alube was stabbed to death during a robbery in which assailants stole his valuables, including his mobile phone.
According to police, the attackers stabbed him in the chest and left thigh after he attempted to resist the robbery. They fled the scene, leaving him dead.
Officers who responded found his body lying in a pool of blood. Crime Scene Investigation personnel processed the scene before the body was moved to Nairobi Funeral Home pending a post-mortem examination.
In a separate incident reported the same morning, 58-year-old Juma Jared was stabbed multiple times by two assailants.
He sustained injuries to his upper left arm, the left side of his chest and lower left back. Good Samaritans rushed him to Mbagathi Hospital, from where he was referred to Kenyatta National Hospital for further treatment.
He is reported to be in fair and stable condition. Nothing was stolen from him during the attack.
Detectives launched investigations into the two incidents before conducting an operation that led to the arrest of the two suspects.
The Directorate of Criminal Investigations said the suspects are in custody undergoing processing pending arraignment.
