Amplify Africa is expanding its pan-African platform to help technology companies and institutions accelerate adoption of artificial intelligence, blockchain, Web3 and other emerging technologies.

Founded by Esther Kendi, the company operates across 11 countries in Kenya, Uganda, Tanzania, Rwanda, Ethiopia, Burundi, Zambia, Botswana, Malawi, Angola and Ghana.

Amplify Africa says it has trained more than 20,000 people and partnered with more than 20 universities, connecting technology companies with enterprises, students, communities and ecosystem partners. Its activities span technology education and onboarding, ecosystem events, enterprise partnerships, community programs and research.

“Our focus is simple: how do we move emerging technologies beyond conversations and into meaningful adoption?” Kendi, founder and CEO, said.

The company has worked with technology firms including Binance and is expanding enterprise programs focused on AI adoption, automation, workforce productivity and executive education.

Kendi said the company takes a localized approach because African markets differ in infrastructure, regulation, culture and consumer behavior.

“Africa is not one market,” she said. “Companies entering African markets need continental ambition, but they also need local understanding and execution.”

Amplify Africa also plans to develop research and market intelligence based on its work across the continent, tracking adoption barriers, emerging use cases and differences between markets. Its broader strategy is to build a distribution network connecting emerging technologies with African businesses, institutions and communities.

“Our ambition is bigger than any single technology,” Kendi said. “What remains constant is the need for education, access, local partnerships and execution.”
