The Communications Authority of Kenya (CA) has announced a three-month student attachment programme for ongoing university students seeking practical experience between October and December 2026.
In an announcement on September 8, CA said the opportunities are available across 17 functional areas, including Human Resources and Administration, Corporate Communications, Finance and Accounts, Supply Chain Management, Information Technology, Cyber Security, Legal Services, and Competition Management.
“The Communications Authority of Kanya (CA) is the regulatory agency for the ICT industry in Kenya with responsibilities in telecommunications, cyber security, e-commerce, broadcasting, multimedia, and postal /courier services. The CA is also responsible for mane managing the country’s numbering and frequency spectrum resources, managing and administering the Universal Service Fund (USF), and safeguarding the interests of users of ICT services
The Authority invites applications from ongoing students for October to December 2026, a three-month (3) attachment opportunity in the following functional areas,” read part of the announcement.
CA Outlines Areas of Student Attachment
Students pursuing Journalism, Mass Communication, Public Relations and Media Studies can apply for positions under Corporate Communications.
Other opportunities target students in fields such as accounting, economics, procurement, telecommunications engineering, electrical engineering, computer science, software engineering, cybersecurity, law, education and public policy.
Qualifications
Applicants must be ongoing students at a recognized university.
Their area of study must align with the functional area they are applying for, and they should demonstrate an interest in gaining practical experience in a regulatory environment.
How to Apply
Interested students should apply online through the Communications Authority of Kenya’s application form.
Applicants must provide their first and last names, ID number, email address, phone number, gender, age, and details of their learning institution.
The form also asks applicants to indicate their area of study and the functional area they are interested in.
Applicants must also provide disability status information, where applicable, including a PWD number.
Additionally, applicants must also attach a one-page CV, a cover letter specifying their preferred department and confirmation from their institution showing current enrolment and support for the attachment.
Submit applications by September 18, 2026, at 5:00 p.m. EAT.
