The officers searched a two-bedroom house in Buruburu Sub-County, recovering 936 brown rolls of dry plant material suspected to be bhang.

Three suspects have been arrested after anti-narcotics officers seized 1,002 rolls of suspected bhang in a raid at a residential house in Nairobi’s Jericho Estate.

Officers from the National Authority for the Campaign Against Alcohol and Drug Abuse (NACADA) conducted the operation yesterday afternoon following an intelligence tip-off.

A bunch of keys was also recovered from the house’s store and taken as part of the investigation.

The three occupants were arrested and booked at Jogoo Road Police Station under OB No. 39/30/10/2026. They are expected to be arraigned in court on Monday, November 2, 2026.

NACADA Chief Executive Officer Anthony Omerikwa said the operation was intelligence-led and credited residents for providing information that helped officers locate the suspected distribution point.

“Traffickers who set up shop in our neighbourhoods and target our young people have nowhere to hide,” Omerikwa said.

“This operation was intelligence-led, and that intelligence comes from residents who are tired of watching drugs destroy their families. We thank them, and we urge every Kenyan to keep speaking up.”

He said NACADA would continue working with the National Police Service to dismantle drug supply networks.

“This is not a one-day exercise. We are working hand in hand with the National Police Service, and we will pursue every link in this supply chain until our estates are safe,” he said.

NACADA urged members of the public with information on drug trafficking to report through its toll-free helpline, 1192, or at the nearest police station. Callers can remain anonymous.
