Speaking at a burial in Nuu, Mwingi Central, Nominated Senator Beth Syengo said Kalonzo deserved respect, citing Thursday’s incident in which he was heckled during the launch of the Linda Mwananchi Movement headquarters in Lavington, Nairobi.

Syengo accused Gachagua of orchestrating the embarrassment of the Wiper leader, arguing that a politician of Kalonzo’s standing should not be subjected to such treatment.

“And you are so valuable to this country that people should not make noise when you are speaking,” Syengo said.

The nominated senator urged Kalonzo to reconsider his political alliances, saying he would be welcomed and respected in Ruto’s camp.

“Sisi tunakuheshimu na tunasema hapa kwa William Ruto kuna nafasi,” she said.

Syengo warned that remaining in his current alliance could expose Kalonzo to further political frustration, urging him to make an early decision on the direction he intends to take.

She further argued that the Wiper leader had repeatedly been courted ahead of elections, only to be sidelined when political arrangements were concluded.

The leaders called on Kalonzo to work with Ruto as the President seeks a second term in the 2027 General Election.
