Geoffrey Mosiria, the former Nairobi County chief officer, has turned down a job offer from a Mombasa car dealership as he prepares to run for Nairobi governor in the 2027 General Election.
Mosiria said the offer came from Canon Motors, a dealership owned by businessman Haytham, who is also known as The Car Don. He did not take up the position despite being promised a dedicated office at the dealership.
Instead, Mosiria said he had asked Canon Motors Limited for a branded ambulance. He described his focus as helping vulnerable people, including abused children, street families and patients unable to access medical care.
His decision to stay out of formal employment comes after Nairobi Governor Johnson Sakaja dismissed him from his county role. Mosiria has since positioned himself for the city’s top seat, saying he will contest the governorship in 2027.
The job offer and Mosiria’s response were confirmed in an article published on 23 October 2026.
