President William Ruto is expected to deliver a major announcement on Wednesday evening, State House has announced.

In a media alert issued on October 28, 2026, State House Press Secretary Emmanuel Talam said the President will address the nation through a recorded announcement scheduled for 6 pm East African Time.

The announcement will be streamed simultaneously across Ruto's official social media platforms, allowing Kenyans to follow the address online.

"The announcement will stream simultaneously across the President's official social media platforms: YouTube, Facebook, X, Instagram, and TikTok," Talam said.

State House has invited members of the media and the public to tune in through the listed platforms.

"Members of the media and the public are invited to follow the announcement on these platforms," the statement added.

The media alert did not disclose the subject of the President's address. It also did not provide further details on what the announcement would cover.

The public will have to wait until the scheduled broadcast at 6 pm to learn the contents of the President's announcement.
