Gor warned that the community's support risks being taken for granted amid concerns over leadership, internal divisions and political alliances.

In a statement shared on his official Facebook page, Semelang’o announced plans to personally sponsor nationwide community consultation forums to discuss the Luo community’s political future and establish a common position on its engagement with national leadership.

“The Luo Nation must go back to the drawing board... Our support, if any, will be conditional and must be enforceable,” Semelang’o said.

He warned that the absence of a structured political strategy could weaken the community’s bargaining power.

He announced that he would personally finance consultation forums targeting Luo residents across Kenya and members of the diaspora, with the aim of gathering views on the community’s political priorities and determining a common way forward.

“I am personally going to sponsor our community consultation to address this matter across the country where our people live,” he added.
