FKF said the continued use of the items had prompted it to reiterate the restrictions, which apply both inside stadiums and in their surrounding areas.

The Football Kenya Federation (FKF) has renewed its ban on flares, smoke bombs, fireworks and other pyrotechnics at FKF League matches, warning clubs that further violations could attract disciplinary sanctions.

In a communique dated October 23, 2026, and addressed to all 18 SportPesa League clubs, the federation said incidents involving prohibited pyrotechnics had been reported at several matches despite an earlier directive issued at the start of the season.
