Julian Rekdahl Faye Lund is a Norwegian professional footballer born on 20 May 1999 in Oslo.

He plays as a goalkeeper and currently features for Bodø/Glimt in the Eliteserien, where he wears the number 1 shirt.

He has represented Norway at multiple youth international levels, including the under-15, under-17, under-18, under-19, under-20 and under-21 teams.

Notable among these was his participation with the Norway under-20 side at the 2019 FIFA U-20 World Cup in Poland.

Lund comes from a family with a strong goalkeeping tradition, which shaped his early development in the position.

    Julian has one sibling, an older brother named Jacob Rekdahl Faye-Lund, born on 15 September 1994.

    Like Julian and their father Gisle, Jacob also became a goalkeeper.

    He developed at Oppsal, spent time in Vålerenga’s youth setup, and later joined Lillestrøm, where he made his senior top-flight debut in the Eliteserien as a teenager.

    Jacob went on to play for clubs including Fram Larvik and Oppsal.

    Julian has spoken about regularly discussing football with both his father and brother, describing them as valuable conversation partners.

    Career

    Lund began his career at Oppsal, making a handful of senior appearances in the lower divisions before signing a three-year contract with Rosenborg in February 2015.

    He completed his schooling in Oslo and became eligible to play for the club later that year.

    After limited first-team opportunities at Rosenborg, he was loaned to Levanger in the OBOS-ligaen for the 2017 and 2018 seasons, where he established himself as a regular starter and accumulated more than 50 league appearances.

    In 2019 he joined Mjøndalen on loan and featured regularly in the Eliteserien.

    A further loan spell followed in 2021 with HamKam.

    Lund made his Eliteserien debut for Rosenborg in 2020 and recorded a modest number of appearances for the club overall.

    In the summer of 2022 he completed a permanent transfer to Bodø/Glimt, signing a contract that has since been extended.

    Accolades

    During his time on the books at Rosenborg, Lund was part of squads that won the Eliteserien in 2015 and 2016 as well as the Norwegian Cup in 2016.

    With Bodø/Glimt he has contributed to further success, including Eliteserien titles in 2023 and 2024 and the Norwegian Cup in 2025–26.

    He has also gained experience in European competitions with both clubs, participating in the UEFA Champions League, Europa League and Conference League.

    At youth international level he took part in the UEFA European Under-19 Championship and the FIFA U-20 World Cup.
