Murkomen: Over 120,000 youths jailed since 2022

More than 120,000 young people have been imprisoned in Kenya between 2022 and 2026 over violence-related offences, according to Interior Cabinet Secretary Kipchumba Murkomen. Of these, 11,824 youths were jailed for offences including gang-related crime, violent extremism and goonism. Murkomen says the government is stepping up efforts to maintain security across the country. Melita Oletenges reports.
