Kenyan traders explore regional opportunities at Uganda-Rwanda trade roadshow

More than 150 trade investors from Kenya are in Kampala for the 2026 Uganda and Rwanda Trade and Investment Roadshow, courtesy of Equity Group. The roadshow aims to unlock cross-border business and investment opportunities across agriculture, manufacturing, energy and the coffee value chain, connecting traders from the participating countries to regional opportunities. Speaking at the forum, Uganda’s Minister of Trade, Sanjay Tanna, urged financial institutions to move beyond traditional banking and provide struggling traders with critical financial literacy and bookkeeping training to help small businesses survive beyond their first three years. Equity Bank Uganda Executive Director Claver Serumaga noted that the mission is designed to translate high-level discussions into actual commercial relationships.
