Kindiki assures of peaceful and credible 2027 elections

Deputy President Kithure Kindiki has assured Kenyans and the international community of a free, fair, secure, peaceful and credible General Election next year. Addressing dignitaries during the 15th Development Partnership Forum at the official residence in Karen, Kindiki said the government would work with all stakeholders, including the media, civil society, security agencies and political parties, to ensure the 2027 polls are peaceful, reflect the will of the electorate and uphold the security of the country. At the same time, Kindiki appealed to development partners to provide supplementary support and assistance to strengthen the government’s preparedness and response mechanisms against the adverse effects of El Niño rains projected by the Meteorological Department.
