IEBC summons Hassan Omar over dead voters remarks

The Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission has called in UDA Secretary General Hassan Omar over his remarks on the deployment of dead voters in the 2027 election. IEBC Commissioner Alutalala Mukhwana said Omar’s remarks have the potential to create an environment of doubt and fear ahead of next year’s polls. The IEBC response comes as Prime Cabinet Secretary Musalia Mudavadi said President Ruto will not use shortcuts to win the election.
