Belio defends order for foreigners to regularise stay

Immigration and Citizen Services Principal Secretary Belio Kipsang has defended the government's order requiring foreigners to regularise their stay in the country. Speaking during the International Identity Day celebrations in Bomet, Belio said the regularisation process involves biometric registration and the capture of accurate information to maintain reliable records of foreigners staying in Kenya. Belio urged foreigners who are yet to comply with the directive to do so before the 90-day period lapses.
