Tribunal clears way for Linda Mwananchi name reservation, orders Registrar to act

It’s a win for the Sifuna-led movement after the Political Parties Disputes Tribunal cleared the way for Linda Mwananchi to proceed with registration as a political party. The Tribunal ordered the Registrar of Political Parties to reserve the name within seven days. The Tribunal found that the Registrar’s decision to reject the party’s registration was contrary to the law and violated the rights of Linda Mwananchi leaders. Melita Oletenges reports.
